How common is ball slippage for previous generation rubbers?
I am trying out Baracuda Big Slam (a softer version of regular Baracuda) against a robot and I see occasional ball slip. I don't see such slippage with other rubbers. I mostly use Rasanter V42, V47 and Mantra S. Even fairly used up V42 does not slip.
The slippage is somewhat ball dependent: plastic balls from amazon (labelled "MAPOL") slip more, but DHS 2** training ball slip as well.
I am wondering how common this phenomenon is with older generation rubbers. Baracuda Big Slam does collect dust easily. Could this be a contributing factor? I tried cleaning it but I believe the slippage is still there.
