This is what happened. The ones in the new catalogue are the final design and creek is correct. Although i had the new catalogue even before distributors had it and have seen that the printing and blade of the Hugo HAL with orange axylium (not the blue one which is an old version) i was informed otherwise that it is alc. My apologies on this and I will take the blame on this misinformation.

and now imagine ... this happens when you bought a New TG2 national ... boost it properly for one week and then you can not use it until the boosting wears off. .... . Such a waste of money .....

Ooh maybe because of the stocks and business crisis, butterfly will lower their prices to cater for it.

They will feel it for sure. Maybe not so much like restaurants and hotels but I’m sure every company will be affected. People are not spending money now and will take some time to feel comfortable enough to do so.

that's an interesting question. Imho the companies will be fine. I would worry more about the clubs- who are small businesses ad who have to deal with the rent with 0 incomes...

My suppliers tell me that while sales to the usual crowd tanked, sales of TT tables for home play went through the roof. Everything’s out of stock, and demand outpaces supply. A similar thing is said for robots.

People buying tables will probably also buy netposts, balls, blades and rubbers, bat cases, and so on.

My sellers also hope for some catch up demand when club play resumes.

The clubs are taking hits, though. Those renting are usually in talks with local government (which often is their landlord) to stay afloat. Those running their own have it slightly easier, as monthly exploitation costs also sink a bit.

I’m the chairperson of one of the seven national regions, and am in touch with about 70 clubs. No ultimate distress calls yet, but the strain is there and in time will become untenable for some.

There is a keen interest in reactivating the general population as a public health concern. I’m engaging in talks there. TT, being an indoor activity, poses some challenges, but I hope that sound protocols might open viable avenues for a few key demographic groups with limited other option.

The goal of this is the common cause, of course, if TT clubs get to survive as instruments of reactivation the I’d consider thatca positive sideeffect.

A lot are affected due to little people buying products. Though i see a trend on people buying tabkes and even mini tables for their homes.

Butterfly structure is very expensive. They should put - 20% for everything

yes, being indoor has it's own challenges during these strange times. In my country tennis courts are being already opened as I am writing. No news about table tennis though

And maybe they´ll even want to join a club. Where the "proper" players will ignore them until they retreat to their garages and gardens.

I hope it´s different in other countries, but in Germany the arrogance even of lowest league club players against "hobby" (yeah, what else is lower league?) players is sometimes unbelievable and they will quickly show newcomers how to take the fun OUT of table tennis. Be quiet (unless you curse yourself, then you may yell) and you MUST play in a team.

Not everywhere, but common. A disgrace. Garden, hard bat, TTX, it´s all table tennis to me.

Oh and the real players are different. Never had a pro look down on me.

Funny you should say that. I am sending stuff to an ex club member in Sierra Leone and this young guy wants to help and give his old rubbers.
He says "I will also encourage others" and I tell him I have stopped doing that actively, because I´ve too often seen people with batches of 20 rubbers hand you the oldest 3 when kindly asked for a donation for my African friend ... Yes, anything helps, but more helps more
