She has an elbow/forearm injury that keeps flaring up after months of non-invasive treatment, since the commencement of German Open. Unsure if the success of those treatments were partially marred by her (or coaches') insistence to continue training, hence those "clips" that you have seen. Rumour has it that she's been back at Guangdong for about a week or two now, presumably to seek further treatment or break away from training to speed up the healing process. Nevertheless, the players will all return to their own provincial teams soon and regroup in July.

Let's hope a year is good time to recover and gets some form in. LSW along with XX just prove to be perfect pairing in XD. Interesting to see how this plays out.

As for team selections, the roster has been trimmed down to these 4 - LSW, DN, CM, and SYS. As ZYL told, Tokyo 2020 is none of her business already. WMY is out as well after WTTC 2019. Same as for LJK, beating your teammates doesn't get you any pluses. Losing 1 foreign battle in the major gets you a shitload of minuses.

Even Ito has spoken in an interview a month or 2 ago that CM and SYS will fight for 1 singles spot by trying to beat her as much as possible. Miyazaki has also spoken recently there's a chance the mere existence of Ito will force CNT to change the singles lineup.

JTTA: Our predictions were spot on – DN, LSW & CM.

But this trio was probably who they had intended to send if the Olympics was indeed held this year. Not sure about 2021... Also, ZYL would have broken the tradition of being the first (?) reserve player from the previous iteration to not make it to the next as a confirmed player.

Do you think LSW will be ready to go by Tokyo 2021?

Sponsors right now jumping off, good chance might not happen

The WS has always been up in the air. The postponement won't change the outlook much in the grand scheme of things. LGL's ideal lineups had always been clear.

- (Can't make out his slurring, something about LSW)
- You want her to have a clear view of her place?
I feel she's not quite the same as XX
because the competition on the women's side is very real x2
She has to maintain a certain edge
Under that premise
players have to first think if they could make the lineup
Once you make the team, you think over your options and the results to aim for

CNT will be hosting a tournament simulating Olympic Games TT Tokyo 2020. The event will start on August 8 and be televised on CCTV 5. CNT members will form teams representing various countries and match times, draws, rhythms all follow exactly what the Games would dictate. Can’t wait!

Lol who is gonna represent 'China' in this mock Olympics.

I have little doubt that ML/FZD/XX, the de facto team, will be tested and battle all other teams. LJK/LGY/WCQ should be a very formidable challenger. Not so sure about women’s team. LSW/CM/DN against SYS/WMY/ZYL would be fun to watch

This is a highly anticipated and much hyped event considering the lack of activities as of late. Every CNT member will participate including LSW.

Will be good to see, think more so for the CNT. More insights, lots can change over a period of 12 months.

Good to see how players have managed during this time and if say ML, XX, LSW, DN still have that edge over their Chinese counterparts.

I personally think Tokyo 2021 will be a strange event, lack of preparation and lead-up tournaments will make it unique, wonder if Harimoto and Mima Ito preparation during this pandemic will become better players or will fall behind and take time to catch up.

COVID-19 vaccine takes perfectly well. Five days latter.

EMBARRASING MEDICAL CASE

Chinese militarian crew of doctors arrived at the Hidden Sporting Camp Мacau 澳門, and they dispensed a shot of novelty medicine, - hybrid of immune serum and syntetic vaccine, labeled "V-Day 206" , saying God loves you all.

It all developed five day latter.

Китайский военный врач прибыл в секретный спортивный лагерь и сделал всем укол нового лекарства - гибрид иммунной сыворотки и синтетической вакцины, известная под грифом "V-Day 206", и он пожелал удачи и всего хорошего.

/Be happy/

LSW will not participate as she is in the recovery phase. She had finally gone for an invasive surgery one month ago. DN has requested to sit out so that she can better spend the time regaining her form and improving her physique.

The CNT has also invited a couple of retired/retiring players back. On the men's side, there are Hou Yingchao and Zhang Chao (some young dude has also been asked to play) while Mu Zi, Wu Yang and Hu Limei will complete the list of participants on the women's side.

Looks amazing.
Team China doing one, appears Japanese team holding similar event, cam imagine other countries doing one, some maybe not as high profile but something I guess keep spirits and momentum up.

Wonder what means for LSW and DN? Hopefully time off does both plenty of good on regaining fitness and form.

Great minds think alike?
LSW has a "poor" record against FTW so that's why they always put DN in her place. LSW is necessary for the doubles if DN is truly injured. By extension, SYS could be playing singles next year.

So seems there’ll be 16 teams for men and 16 teams for women. It may make sense each of the top 16 players will lead a team.

It's like the CNT has accepted that will be China vs Japan final in both Men & Ladie's teams event.

For that to happen they must believe in singles big threat from outside is Mima and Harimoto as they have (Kasumi and Hirano plus Niwa and Mizutani) covered.

LSW big gamble if injury is still a concern, SYS good replacement as has proven can play XD with XX win a title together and singles has a good record against Mima.
