Maybe you are just using too hard of a sponge? Vega China is 54 degrees (which would be about 40 in dhs, no?). You also did not like 39 degree. Yogi in his reward said that Vega China rubber needs brushing action so maybe your contact is too thick? How long did you try to adjust?
