Korbel is fine. No need to change that if you already got it.
Just adjust the rubbers accordingly after the video.

It is fine. Now you know. No real harm done now that you know. How old are you? (I am just curious).

Don't buy anything yet. If we see footage, we may say Korbel is good. Or something else would be better.

If you are ordering from TT11 you are ordering from a good place. There are lots of good equipment choices. And if money is an issue, there are ways of getting things that are similar but made in China that are much less expensive.

That scales with what I was expecting.

When you have posted video, we will be able to help you with equipment. Also, when it is posted, then you can post in other threads if you want. Often new members, before they know how the forum works, expect things to happen faster than they do. I am looking forward to seeing how you play.

Youtube. If you don't want them to be publicly available use unlisted option or don't give them a name.

Guys, this is a treat. Here is the footage of Ahmet:

To me, he looks like his strokes are decent and he has good talent. He could get better very fast. His FH is solid and consistent for someone not playing too long. His BH shows good technique but lacks consistency and confidence. That will change.

Based on what I am seeing, I think the Korbel will be fine as a blade. But I think a Xiom Offensive S or a Primorac Off- might be a better choice since it will not be as head heavy.

I personally think he could use any rubbers he wants. At his age he could improve very fast and be at quite a decent level within a few months.

What rubbers do you think would be good for him. I have a feeling Mark V would be fine. But that he would also be fine with Rakza 7 on FH and Rakza 7 soft on BH.

I would suggest M8 + 2*Hidden Dragon (or other training rubber, Palio is just my favorite one, they all do playlike in my opinion, we would have to summon iskandar to be sure). I think that training rubber would be in the same ball park power. It's cheap and purposefull setup. If those videos are to be believed, then I don't think that the Player needs more speed.

This setup would probably cost same as one Bluefire or Rakza and could be easilly resold with not that much of a loss. Rubbers seem to lose their qualities, especially those with built in glue effect and I think that the player at this particular moment in his career would not be able to get all of the qualities those rubbers offer.

So my suggestion would be to go with blades proposed by Carl or Sanwei M8:
      - if you play a lot (at least 2 hours 4 times a week) then I would go for chinese training rubber (i.e. Palio Hidden Dragon, 729 FX, Yinhe Mercury etc). They seem to last forever and produce very good spin and enough power. As Carl said if you keep training you will probably get good rather quickly (in a few months as he said), then you can just switch rubbers when you will able to use their full power.
      - if you play moderately often go for fancy and shiny rubbers.

OK Ahmet, I gave you a hard time for talking too much the wrong way, but it comes down to this - you LOVE TT and want better. We are all basically like that.

You also are brave to expose yourself in a vid and to attempt functioning in another language, which you are doing just fine. 98 percent of Americans would never even try that.

You have not yet learned much about Table Tennis. It is obvious you have not yet had training in footwork and a lot of the other areas. Fine, it comes with instruction and time. Kids your age learn that stuff very quickly.

Even without training, it is obvious you do a good job of impacting the ball in the middle of your effective strike zone. That counts for a LOT.

It will not matter the exact equipment you use right now, but middle of the road stuff is proven.

There are so many other areas that are important to work with.

      Great choice.
From a flooder (I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding now) to someone who actually send the video and follow advices. That's really rare man. Good to see. Usually people run away forever when Carl asks for the video, and when they do not run, they just cannot follow the advices because they think they are too good for that.

The 13~17 yo kids at my club improve fast as hell, and I’m pretty sure you will do too.
      Good luck!

My opinion is that this guy needs fairly slow equipment. Right now he is getting power from equipment. Legs and body not working at all, hand is barely working as well, he only gets the bounce off the rubber. Get something like Andro Novacell All/S, get Yinhe Big Dipper or some slow tensor on FH, get Mark V or Rakza 7 (maybe soft) on BH, and focus on foot work and body.

Do you have a coach? You need to work on your footwork. Balls coming directly to you, your bending at your torso. Your coach needs to show you legwork. Your bat is good. Work on the movement.
