How does tax in Poland calculated?

Calling all Polish employees in TTD,

I recently got a job offer in Poland. The initial offering was mentioned in netto. This is a full time contract (Umowa o Pracę I guess in Polish).
When I researched for the common salary for my position, the data is in brutto.

So, can you tell me how to calculate tax and other stuffs employees need to play from the salary?

I want to be able to convert netto to brutto and vice versa. I've tried several tax calculators but they're all giving me different result with quite big gap.

Thank you

According to Art 87 par. 1 of work codex netto is what you get. Brutto is netto + tax + ZUS. ZUS is about 1300, tax is 18-32% (depends on amount). There are two modes of taxing. Proportional, 18% for earnings below ~83k and 32% above that amount and linearly 19%. So if you expect to earn more 83k PLN netto annually then linear makes sense. The difference in netto brutto calculators may come from ZUS law changes. They are changing a bit now for different sectors. For example if you have a "single man business" you don't pay zus for a year or two (this also depeneds on earnings). I can't tell how much exactly ones pay now, but the full amount without any bonuses is 1300PLN +/- 100. Also those calculators might optimize the taxation or not.

Here is a reasonable source about tax: https://home.kpmg/xx/en/home/insights/2011/12/poland-income-tax.html
Here is some info about ZUS: https://home.kpmg/xx/en/home/insights/2011/12/poland-other-taxes-levies.html, there is no mention about exact amounts. Some of it is optional some of it is mandatory.
