Mental tips on redeeming myself?

Last year I lost in the final match of a tournament. It hurt, really bad.

Not sure if we'll have a tournament later this year because of the coronavirus, but I'm hoping we will. Hopefully the local table tennis center will open up and I can start training with a coach. I have a lot of stroke improvement to work on.

But what about the mental aspect? There are plenty of people who lost a championship match, and bounced back to win next year. How did they approach it mentally? I don't want to be one of those people who lost a championship and was never heard from again.

One thing I think I need to work on is killer instinct. Take Michael Jordan for example. One of the greatest athletes of all time, and he had a massive killer instinct. He didn't just want to win, he wanted to destroy his opponents, not allow them to have any hope whatsoever, and to utterly humiliate them. I think that's one thing I should work on. I'm a nice guy in real life, but I think it would be good to have a killer instinct while playing table tennis.

Any other thoughts?
