In Florida, TT players are fortunate that a new pickleball complex nearing completion is also including TT. I have been asked and agreed to be the Club Rep for TT for the complex. Yesterday I toured the facility to determine the time to order tables and supplies. The complex is scheduled to be finished and open in July. The facility has been designed for pickleball and there are two large rooms 44'x29' for TT. Initially we will have 4 tables and 3 will be setup at all times and the 4th set up 3 days a week for club play. The tables we have selected are the Joola 2500 Tour. I've played on these tables and they are suitable tables for a municipal club. The only limiting factor for the TT area is there are 10 ft. ceilings.

I've made the recommendation to include a TT robot. Thought being this will entice new players and provide a level of challenge for beginner and intermediate players. Funds budgeted for a robot are $600 USD.

The club name, Table Tennis at Pictona (Pictona evolved from Pickleball/Daytona Beach = Pictona). A non-profit club.
Facility Open 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm for pickleball and table tennis
Cost: $5 daily fee, or $20 monthly fee, or $200 yearly fee, these are unbelievable prices and lower than I recommended.
Club times: Tues: 5-9pm, Thur: 5-9pm, Sat: 10-2pm. If club interest grows these days and times will be increased.

The leaders of the facility tell me if there is demand they will add tables as there is space for expansion.

Robot recommendation: So please make your recommendations on a robot for club play in the $600 range. And if you email contact info I'll send notice when the facility is open.

Grand Opening: Administration has agreed to have TT be a large part of their grand opening, scheduled in August. As this is a city owned facility, it will attract lots of local TV, social and print media. Suggestions on exhibitions, events and more are appreciated. One only gets one time to make a first impression so help us to make as big a splash as possible. Post your ideas.

If one views the pics or video online, the smaller enclosed area on the rear of the complex is the location for TT, the restaurant, lounge, club house, lockers, baths, training room and more. I was pleased to see yesterday in the TT rooms there are 4 large windows that allow natural lighting plus the inside lighting is LED recessed in the 10' ceilings

To visit the complex, here are some photos, drone shots and Youtube videos:

Help us to get this new facility off to a good start. Table tennis avaialble 9am-9pm, 7 days a week, a restaurant, lounge and more. And what is your robot recommendation?
