Is it easier to attack a push - long or short - with short pimples compared to inverted rubber?

Don't play with short pips but my guess would be that it depends on the quality of the push. The higher the push the better suited the short pips are for attacking.

So, this video explains with exceptional clarity what short pips are about. Also there are lots of other videos on the same Youtube site. Switch on subtitles unless you speak Russian. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C__FqO_IMZ8. I have been playing with short pips for a year (on the backhand like Mima Ito) and have a lot of fun with them.

If the push bounces high, then you can risk hitting it flat. Easier with short pips than inverted.

But flicking against short pushes (which is not always a good idea) is quite a bit harder than inverted.
