Difference between ZLC and ZLF?

Does anybody know? I'm really confused, always tought these were the same thing.

ZLF is the Zylon without the carbon. ZLC is Zylon with carbon.

It is the Zylon equivalent of the AL and ALC blades. AL being pure Arylate. ALC being Arylate with carbon.

Thank you! Makes sense. Do you know what would be characteristics of each material in a blade?

I haven't personally used any ZLF blades but I believe that they have more of a vibration dampening (almost numb) effect. The blades with carbon in still have some of this but it's toned down and with more of the classic carbon feeling and consequently, more power.

ZLF is much softer than ZLC.When playing with a ZLF blade, it's like playing with an all-wood blade. In short, ZLF is very close to wood in terms of feel.

ZLC is harder and feels "dead" in comparison to ZLF. It's also faster and and has a very different sound (sounds like pock-pock when hitting), especially if underneath 1 layer of wood instead of 2.

ZLF is a softer blade compared to a ZLC. I used Timo Boll ZLF before and it has great control and feel. ZLC blades are faster because the ball doesn't sink in as much.

ZLF without carbon is pretty slow. I personally found it pretty weird. Adding carbon to the weave makes it quite a bit faster and probably better suited for modern balls. The difference is very very noticeable.

It is obviously a matter of taste and playing style.

yups, some 12 years or so I had full Arylate blade. Do they make full Arylate anymore?

The basic information is there.

For my input, in general: I would rather an all wood blade than a ZLF blade. I would rather an ALC blade than a ZLC blade.
