Han Ying playing her first world cup at 37 years old after wrecking the international stage for 9 years is simply an injustice. She has a good draw to the semifinal but will have to beat probably have to beat Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha or Mima Ito to medal. After seeing the form she was in against Jeon she might just have a sliver of a chance.

Some more details on Ito's quarantine period in Shanghai then Weihai, aired just a few hours ago...
Quarantined for 4 days on the first day, then moved and quarantined for another 3 days
I didn't meet overseas players either
I didn't meet the Japanese players either
Because it was partitioned, I could practice there
I practiced in isolation there for about 5 days
Basically, PCR inspection was performed once every 3 days
Only moved between the hotel and the venue
Quarantined for 4 days on the first day, then moved and quarantined for another 3 days

Ito has a modified clam shell reveal serve. In addition to her body, she has improved her handling of middlegame, especially on her serves.
G4, 1:0 JJH serving. JJH's serve touched her own shirt, but the umps didn't see it? 5:5, Ito serving. Ump thought it was let. What a joke. Many nets and edges from JJH in this match. 10:7, 10:9, JJH serving, JJH's TO. Ito's receiving not that good in this match.
