Not sure I like ML's strategy to win matches from 1-3 down. Will it kill him to switch from BH-BH to switch to wide FH or down the FH line in all those rallies.

If he said that, the final flick FZD played was similar to the final flick ZJK played in 2014. That's my best guess.

ML would fall back to the FH step-around when it gets tight in big matches. That's how WH always got him.

The revelation of the tournament is that Harimoto has by a large fixed his forehand rallying issues. He still needs to I integrate everything a bit better but his counterlooping looked really good and as he gets physically stronger things will likely get better.
WTT Macau is starting to look like the 2020 version of China vs World Challenge, though I guess it can't be helped if the other associations are unwilling to attend (e.g. Japan, Germany).

Can't imagine why the other players who are already in China will decline. An appearance fee of USD15,000 is already more than enough to cover the inflated covid19 airfare??

I hope so too, although she will either play CM (if Ito joins which makes LSW seed 4) or SYS (if Ito doesn't join which makes LSW seed 3). Possibly the toughest return to international TT for any player.
