i assume the other gadget on the table measures either the hardness of the rubbers (and why should they care?)
or it is checking the blades for being flat ???????????
The "Green machine" is the MiniRAE. It is testing for VOC ("speed glue"). You first check the background level, and then a spesific time on each side of the blade.
The two devices in front is the thickness and flatness devices.
It is all pretty standard. The two DHS-devices are among the first things going in to Ma Long's (and other top players) bag when going to a tournament.
Yes, you got it right. T9 document describes all the control procedures on the racket. It is well applicable for a great variety of table tennis events, not only for international level play.
WE SECURE FAIRNESS
We keep up the thickness measurements on players' rubbers, using the DHS digital gauge. Very nice instrument to operate right onspot, inside a playing area. 2!00 USD by courtesy of RTTF and Russian Sporting Ministery.
