Ma Long has re-invented himself. He can't play like 2015 in 2020 and be successful, he doesn't have the body for it anymore. So he had to get better in the "modern game" and now he's top 2 at it, some days the best. I can really miss the Ma Long that was running all over the place to make room for that devastating forehand and covering that wide forehand like an alien, but this 2020 version is as impressive, even more so seeing as he keeps on winning against much younger and faster opponents. He's just the smartest player on this planet.
