After a delay and almost being canceled, the 2020 Chinese Super League was confirmed. Competition will be held in Guangzhou from December 21st to 29th. The best news of the day is the confirmation of participation by Lin Yun-Ju, who will play for the Shandong Weiqiao team. Other foreign players have also been confirmed!

According to unverified sources earlier today, FZD may not play in CTTSL after all due to his PLA affiliation (the same restructuring issue which prevented him from joining WTT Macau).

Rough start for the ITTF ladies - they don't take a single set in an 0:3 defeat to Shenzhen University, who is crazy loaded with talent.

Wang Yidi defeats CIC 11-6, 11-5, 11-56 and Chen Meng defeats Lily 11-4, 11-8, 11-5. 3-0 in doubles as well.

While Bayi closed down sports, the players/soldiers were still under contract with the army. The reason for closing down sport was to focus on the core business (defending the country). It would be strange to just let the players/soldiers walk out the door. However it seems likt LGL is "on the case" for both FZD and LJK.

Please see: https://k.sina.com.cn/article_6405738440_17dcfcfc800100rg9t.html?from=sports&subch=pingpang

Is "officially" a bureaucratic transfer problem between clubs? Why would PLA affiliation be a problem?

How refreshing!!

Best of 5 games, first to 11 (win by 2) in all the games.
Change ends between the games, and at 5 in the last possible game.
Only one ball (no multiball), umpire change ball if it is broken.

How refreshing - and old fashioned!

Easy to follow. Easy to understand. Even if i was a bit anxious if the match would be over at 6 points or something in the fifth...

Excellent!!
