Does anyone know approximately how to convert Canadian to American ratings?
I don't believe there is a official TTCAN/USATT conversion chart. What I've found is that the lower the rating the wider the gap is. A 1400 TTCAN is probably closer to 1600-1650 USATT. As the ratings go up the difference narrowsand starting around 1900-2100 the ratings are almost about the same from that point until the 2600 level and up where TTCAN go up to almost 4000 while usatt tops out at about 2750-2900. This is more the players who are playing/drilling all the time and improving.

The formula to calculate CAN to USATT ratings is:

Baseline of Shara's gross profits from his TT cert companies minus the budget to actuals over-runs of the last USATT President and Board divided by the number of ITTF chairman debates plus the CAN Rating minus the difference of youtube vid views from both natl youtube TT assn pages.

The resulting number is then multiplied by the cost of maple syrup minus the number of cheese curds found in a standard serving of poutine, and voila, you have the Canadian rating... Quite simple, eh?! You’re welcome.
