Here is a vid from a club comp womens club Div 3 vs Div 3. Most players are Div 4 or 5 in the average TT club in Korea.

This vid shows the basic simple tactics of OX LP for women at the club. When I was in Korea, 3/4 of the women over 40 used OX LP on BH and played just like this auntie does.

I'm still searching how to make cover under table like in this video? Anyone maybe know the material?

They sell kits to do this table under-cover thing called a table skirt. Consists of some pole frame and the fabric material.

A lot of Korean TT clubs started to put these on all their tables in 2010 and now just about every club has every table like this. I think it presents a clean, neat look, plus when balls from another table come over, they bounce off the side and there is a lot less walking into the next court during the point.

I do not see these kits for sale in USA right now, but it would not be a mission impossile to go to a bix box hardware store, but some 1x2" wood and some fabic and contruct one, likely could do it for $100 USD.

Another idea is to paint some rugedized cardboard and glue velcro fasteners to the back. Joola does something like that for their showcase tables in the big tourneys.

Nexy Korea sells one for $200 USD and that is around what to expect to pay over there for a new kit. I think even wholesale shipping to USA with EMS shipping might get pricy, but since some people may want it, maybe I should offer a special order service... still, if you are determined and resourceful, you could get it done for less than half.

Is it true that the majority of them are using Grass D.TecS OX?

There is a Korean long pips coach that is amazing. I wish I spoke Korean just so I could understand what she is saying. I've only been able to find 4-5 of her videos, and not all of them have English captions. Do you know her @Der_Echte, and where there are more of her training videos?

Here is a link to one of them, and a couple more can be found here as well.

Thanks.

When I left Korea in 2013, it seemed like the quasi national law requiring 3/4 of the O40 lipstick wearing crowd to have Grass D-Techs OX LP on BH was still in effect.

Now in 2020 and beyong, I think that national law has been modified to allow a few other LPs and even some more 2x inverted.

:D Is the most common strategy among the O40 lipstick wearing crowd to aggressively bump or push with the long pips? That would explain the Grass D.TecS, as it is very fast with a lot of reversal.

Haha triple haha... That is none other than ex-pro Pak, Hyun-Mi !! I think she opened up her club in central NE Seoul a year or two after I left Korea. One of more faous TT youtubers began his youtubing playing at that club and did some vids with her... he is 탁규 here is his channel

About 10 yrs ago, on OOAK forum, I posted a series of threads where I made some visits to Korea's top amateur pimples coach - Coach Yoo and I got him to open up his video vault to teh public to view. He has HUNDREDS of vids, I mean hundreds. I think dude had 40-50 O40 women and a few dudes taking LP lessons from him. Dudde is an absolute pips EJ and can do just about anything possible with the stuff and has make 5 vids for each aspect.

He has a fraction of those vids, still a LOT, on yout tube. Here is his youtube page.

Here is his Daum Cafe page. I see under LP BH that the vault is no longer open to public without registering for Daum and his page.

This is one of Coach Yoo's 1-1 lesson that is typical for LP training. He focuses on one aspect each lesson.

This one is on basic blocking topspin with OX LP.

Do you know any really good long pips coaches that live in the States? I'm not interested in chopping, but mainly in aggressive bumps or pushes and some chop blocking.

There is a guy in California - Dr. Jafar in Bay area of Calfornia. He uses LPs in a lot of ways and I do not know if he coaches.

The only other one I can think of offhand is Bogeyhunter, he is a modern defender chopper, but he knows the aggressive bumping kind of play too.

I sometimes coach LP players in my area and help them with LP attacking and blocking and I am only 2000+ level. I had good exposure to OX LP in Korea.

Since I can do the coaching of this kind of LP, and given that I am NOT an elite player, I would believe that there would be other good amateur players who could coach the kind of LP shots you are looking for.

Thinking about it, local player George, the world's second largest LP and blade EJ, took lessons from a local coach to get his LP bumping/aggressive attacking style, that coach is Greg, who occasionally showed up at clubs in Sacramento.

If George is the world's second largest LP and blade EJ, who is number 1? :-D
Do you know by chance if Bogeyhunter is still living in Jacksonville Florida? That would be the easiest location for me to get to, as I'm also in Florida.

Hi, Bogeyhunter is still in Jacksonville, pm him here or on ooak or mytt.

No 1 blade EJ in the world is ttd member erm.

Before he recently trimmed down his inventory, he had a few thousand blades. He tests 10 blades every time he steps foot in a tt hall. He piles them up by net and goes through them.

If in FL, there is also a coach in Clearwater.

Gary I think his name, from same town as Samsonov.

Thanks Der_Echte. Last year I had a few sessions with Gary, and he is a very knowledgeable coach. For the past 6 months, I have been receiving coaching 1-2 times a week from an excellent high level coach, and hope to continue for the next couple of years if possible. Having said that, prior to the Pandemic I was hoping to attend a special camp exclusively focused on playing with long pips, from someone like Sebastian Sauer in Germany. As that is not going to happen now, that's why I was looking for someone more local (US) that is a long pips specialist themselves. Thanks for all the suggestions you gave.
