Hello evryone , i wonder if there are any deffenders left sometimes :D and if so could u please share your setup what you use and how it feels . I personaly use Andro Timber 5 Def with tsp curl PH pips and andro rasanter 48 and it felt great when putt allot of effort into it but when u realy get a little tired its hard to focus on getting tge ball on the table all though when you are motivated and think of what ur doing the.control is masive . And has anyone used a carbon blade to deffend v pips :) 😃

Made the switch to pips and chopping last year. Playing a Butterfly Diode V with Dignics 09c 2.1 and Victas Curl P1V 1.5. Good combination for FH attacks and heavy chopping.

I recently switched from Stiga Defence Pro blade to Nittaku Shake defence, both are oversized carbon blades. I have Stiga DNA M on forehand and Nittaku Wallest (1mm sponge) long pip on backhand. I am really loving the new setup. Blade has a huge sweet spot and feels great in the hand. The control is fantastic but it still has enough speed to loop effectively from distance and to punch hit with DNA on backhand when I twiddle. The defence pro blade was a little faster on both inverted side and pips but I'm enjoying the extra control of the Nittaku.

I use the TSP Trinity Carbon for an all around, modern defender style game. I find the control to be fantastic with it, but I fear it's discontinued! I've used all wood blades for most of my playing career, but I think carbon blades can work well too. You just have to evaluate them on a case by case basis.

Forehand rubber = MX-S 2.2m
Backhand rubber = Dr. N #1 0.6mm

I'm not sure if it's discontinued .. It's still available on some sites..
