Are there any Chinese players who uses/have used 7-ply or 7+2 in their careers?
LGL, Yan Sheng, who else?
Any Non-Shortpips players?

ZJK used the Stiga Carbo 7.6 in his junior days.

Wang Liqin et al. used the Clipper CR near the end of his career.

Wang Tao et al. used the Nittaku Avalox P700.

The DHS 506, a 7-ply allwood, used by ML back then had the PG 3 handle.

Hi,I think Hou Yingchao uses DHS Hurricane 08B ST, which (and I could be wrong) is a 7-ply all-wood blade. 7Also, Xu Xin, as of atleast 2-3 years back, played with a Stiga 7-ply all-wood blade,

Mods, I was wondering if we could change this thread to include all professional players using 7-Ply and add 7+2 to the title?
I don't want to have to remake another thread.

Others I'm sure use 7-ply:
- Miu Hirano (Clipper, Inverted)
- He Zhi Wen (Short pips)
- Wang Zeng Yi (Short pips)
- Jens Lundquist (Clipper, Inverted)

The GEWO website says that Leonie Hartbrich uses the Gewo Alvaro Robles OFF, and that Bence Majoros uses the Gewo Bence Majoros OFF. Some of the Tibhar sponsored players also use 7-ply allwood blades, for example Bernadette Szocs who uses her own-named blade. From Andro there's Simon Gauzy, and I'm sure if you scan the websites for sponsored players you'll find others.

Other than custom ones, has 7+2 blade been a thing, ever?

I just found out Koki Niwa used one too. Signature model from Victas.

I could be wrong about 7+2.
I thought the Carbonado 290/245 ones were supposed to be 7+2 but apparently they're 5+2 just like their 190/145 counterparts.

I have seen ones like 7+4 thin layers. I don't know who these blades are for. Most of the speed-based players have gravitated towards Balsa or 1 Ply H

I think the Mizuno Fortius ver D is 7+2.

Could that be the only case of a pro using 7+2, Oshima in this case?

Also, EAKENT has a little bit of everything - 7+2, 7+4, 9+2, 9+4...
