I met Adam once a decade ago in Korea, an international umpire friend of mine suggested he meet me at a train station and walk up to Lee Jae Chul TTC to do battle with the old crusty ex-national player.

With Der_Echte and Adam in the house causing trouble, how more intense could it get?

Well, if trouble maker Matt Hetherington would show up, that would surely increase it/

By the way, HOW do we all Cause TROUBLE???

We make it FUN. That is how we roll. We involve people, especially shy people, ensure everyone is participating and enjoying. We make them feel wanted and it isn't some artificial thing for a camera. Dudes like Adam and Matt do that well.

I now see 45 teams listed on the confirmed teams portion of the website.

Adam's team now has a 4th member. One of his team is a neice of one of my friends.

This gunna be a breat tourney.

My team looks like it is #23 or 24 of this field, so we gotta do well in the play-in to make Div 2.

if you play against him, my advice is to watch his videos and whenever he does a snake, you try to guess which way its going by saying it loud

if you do this training with all his videos, i think your brain can see the pattern and you can guess right and surprise him with powerful smashes

There is about a 1 in 3 chance my team will face his Friday in the Play-In Team vs Team match to determine the final division assignments.

I played vs him 10 yrs ago in Korea, an international umpire suggested Adam meet me at a train station and make our to a club run by an ex natl player. We had a lot of fun. I lost to him 1-3 that day. I think we both improved since then, His record and rating vs the Cali crowd would indicate he is better than me by a couple levels.

The goal is not to humiliate, but to do my best and make a good accounting of myself.

I have improved tons since 10 yrs ago, so I know I have the capability to do well.

A thing to consider about Adam... One does not get to mid 2100s or 2200 level playing a retrieving style with pick hit or pick looping without an ability to make it difficult to discern the impact, touch, and how the ball will bounce where.

The thing to do to avoid the misreading situation is to take away the balls to do those... I have enough offensive power and quality to do that mostly, but I have yet to show that I will control every rally at 2200 level, so I do not expect to avoid every chance for him to snake.

I believe that more points will be won and lost on serve and receive than rallies. Hopefully, I improved enough there to have better chances.

Well folk, today is it. Division assignments came out. Play-in team vs team starts at 6 PM Local PST.

Team Nexy is playing vs AZ Dreaming, a team with two local players. If we win, we go into Div 2... top end of Div 3 has players who are at or beter than Dan's level.

So, we drive all those hours just to play vs players we play all the time.

Well, that is just the play -in team vs team matchup... the rest of the division is not local.

I went up on Matt Winkler 2-1 and lost.

Came back on Adam Bobrow to force 5th set and he won.

Got beet by upcoming kid who is son of a team mate. Won vs a tough pips player, made a 2200+ SP/LP dude sweat a ton a shot bricks before I lost tight match.

I think Der and Bobrow could make an excellent video series.

I do not know, it's up to Adam if I ever appear in his vid... but the pic is a good one. We played and I got it to 2-2 and Adam's good serves were a game decider. Even with the poor light distribution on that one court we played, I dealt with what Adam gave me until he upped his serves. I would serve, got long underspin, then spin heavy. Adam noticed I improved since a decade ago. I did not really bite on his snakes, pounded a good number of them, but his UNDERSPIN snake got me a few times for sure. Our No 1 player lost to Adam 0-3
