boys against girls in china olympic prep

Have you all seen the videos: where the Chinese top 3 men take on the top 3 girls ???
I think it is "must view" and not only is the action spectacular , the results are too.

When i mentioned the vids in my club most were of the opinion it was all a bit of a joke but
I reckon this was serious business
    What do you think ?

    really interesting concept.
I think that the gap is still there, without this format the girls would have been destroyed.
Look at Fan Zhen Dong vs Chen Meng, almost all chen's point were given by fzd's mistakes.

Watched it when it aired and was fascinating.

I loved the concept and I think Chinese men v Chinese women the men are prob too strong in a full game but I think Chen meng or sun yu would fancy there chances in a proper match against European men though. Chen mein in particular!

Look like it’s 8-9 6-8 etc. It’s not just handicap but it’s about only a few deciding points. (If I understand it correctly) It is probably serious but not that extremely serious. If you see how all of them laughed at the end of each match or smiled losing a good point. It’s totally different from when Xu Xin lost to Fan Zengdong or Lin Gaoyuan lost to a random provincial guy.

thank you for clearing this up for me.
It is a little bit "deflating""😁
