Hi all

Olympic games are approaching! Cant wait for some good games.

So I am watching the opening ceremony, and I am not seeing many (if any at all) table tennis players.

My guess is because some events start tomorrow, so they have better things to do in preparation for tomorrow?

What do you think.

Players I couldn't miss since the commentators read the names of the flag bearers out:
Quadri Aruna, flag bearer for Nigeria.
Yu Mengyu, flag bearer for Singapore.
Yang Xiaoxin, flag bearer for Monaco.
Hend Zaza for Syria was mentioned as the youngest Olympian at age 12 but I couldn't find her.

Forgot Adriana Diaz, flag bearer for Puerto Rico.

Some players did say that due to the morning matches, and not to mention 1 hour trip from village to match venue.
and then needing to get there 2 hours prior to match (leaving 3 hours before match) say for a 9am or 10am match.
it requires a very early night, so some players did miss out.

some others - the national OC decided to "scale" down on the opening, so only a selective few will go (ie 10% of the whole contingent)
