Hey folks!

I have a blade from about 20 years ago. I removed the rubbers but wanted to keep the blade as a souvenir.

I'm facing an issue where there is a lot of glue still on the wood that I can't get off easily.

Does anyone have any great tips to remove it?

Thanks!

forget about the TT ball. They can come in handy to remove some glue off an old rubber.
To remove old glue and bits of rubber off the blade itself i use a spatula with a wooden handle.
Mine has the edges slightly rounded to avoid the sharp steel edges digging into the wood.
Depending on the glue residue ,Lazer's advise to use solvent is also good. I lay a couple of tissues
over the blade and sparingly dribble solvent onto the tissues just enough to soak the tissues completely
but not too much. You do not want the solvent dribble over the edges of the blade.
I normally start with mineral turpentine.
After a few minutes of soaking one can often use a spatula and simply push the glue off the blade
as it has now become a soft slime or sludge

Best hangover cure is more booze.

Put some more glue on it, makes the old layers easier to rub off. Preferably speed glue as they have more solvent.

Otherwise, lighter fluid and quick rub.
