Rank rubbers you've tried based on catapult strength, from 'strongest catapult effect' through to 'most linear' .

I'll put in a few of my impressions to get the ball rolling - though, of course, how these felt to me will have been influenced by the blade I used them on. Nevertheless, here goes ...

XIOM Omega V Tour
Andro Hexer Powergrip
Gewo Nexxus EL Pro 48
Stiga DNA Pro H / M
Nittaku Fastarc G1
XIOM Omega V Asia
Stiga Genesis M
DHS Hurricane 3 Neo

Now several of these rubbers are a bit inconsistent in weight. It's mostly the DHS H3 series that I've used over the years that differ in weight, and I found out for example that a lighter H3N 41deg often is more lively than a heavier one. I guess it's the same in many other Chinese rubbers. Yinhe Big Dipper varies from 45-53 grams cut among the sheets I got, and they can feel quite different to each other as well. Lower weight gives a more bouncy Big Dipper. All my DHS rubbers are "Commercial" versions. Of course, all comes down to my play style...

Of the rubbers I've used my list fastest to slowest:

T05
D05
Vega X
D09c
Victas TDE
H3 BS(boosted)
Rakza 7
Rakza Z
H3N commercial(boosted)
729 Super FX

Rakza Z Catapult? Most certainly not. Grip/tacky yeah a lot!

Rakza Z, as far as I’m concerned, has a sponge with higher catapult effect than most people think!!

Didn't feel any thing from catapult last Friday on a SDC homemade inner force blade with Rakza Z on my FH.
Not sure if we gone keep this rubber, I need more training with blade and this rubber. We will see tomorrow.

Don’t get me wrong, Rakza Z (RZ) will still feel ‘deader’ than a non tacky ESN type grippy rubber.
What I noticed was that away from the table, RZ was much easier to play with compared to say H3Neo or Battle 2, less effort needed to defend or loop a ball back. This was the sponge kicking in.

Not necessarily high catapult but more than other hybrid rubbers. What irritated me more was the high trajectory which was not beneficial for my short game

I noticed the higher throw angle more away from the table!! As well as the catapult effect of the sponge.
As far as short game was concerned, perhaps it suited my stroke type or I just adjusted to RZ’s characteristics well.

This rubber is probably tooo cheap for most of you professional players but i thought i mention it
because i once bought a pair and could not handle it because the incoming balls were just bouncing away from me before i was able to do anything with them.
If anybody has experience with these i would be curious to find where they would fit (if at all) into the ranking list

Any thoughts on different catapult strengths within the category of Euro/Japanese style rubbers?
For example, I found the XIOM Omega V Tour to have a very strong catapult - so much so that I was constantly hesitant in my shots and it was (for me) no fun to play with. By contrast, Fastarc G-1 has a much more linear feel which gives me greater confidence to really go for my shots and is (for me) much more fun to play with.

The above are just opinions.
Of course they are! That's why the start of this thread referred to "impressions" and how the catapult of the various rubbers "feel". And subjective impressions/opinions are not without value. If the majority of players share the opinion that, for example, rubber A has a stronger catapult effect than rubber B then that is helpful information for somebody considering whether they should buy rubber A or B. And that's really the point of these conversations isn't it? To help one another learn more than we could individually. And to have some fun debating subjective opinions along the way!

DELUSION NOT REALITY
Clear-cut definition of "Catapulta" does not exist. It is some delusion of your tactile sense. This is the reason that CONTRA did remove the Katapult ratings from their BELAGE LIST..
