TSP/VICTAS are two brands owned by the same company. They decided to get rid of the TSP brand and many existing TSP products have been rebranded under the VICTAS name and given new model names/numbers. This could have created a problem for players using TSP branded rubbers as these rubbers might no longer be on the ITTF list of approved racket coverings (LARC) and therefore would not be allowed to be used in official tournaments. That would force these players to buy new VICTAS branded versions of the old TSP rubbers, even though their rubbers were working perfectly well and otherwise would not need to be replaced. That could get expensive for those of us that like to have at least one back-up racket and a couple/few extra rubbers on hand.

On their website, VICTAS announced that they would continue to pay for these TSP branded rubbers to be on the LARC for at least 3 years and therefore are legal to be used in tournaments, league matches, etc.

They did the right thing and took care of their loyal existing customers. Its nice to see a manufacturer behaving in an ethical manner and not just going for a quick short term money grab.
