Vega Europe and FX-P are pretty much in the same league. Vega Europe can still easily be used today and is not underpowered. Keep in mind, that performance does not come from just the rubber as the blade plays the bigger part.
Sidenote: now and then, I grab my YEO with FX-P on both sides and having great fun. Crispy blade (not very fast but surely not slow either!) combined with FX-P is pretty much a do-it-all combination
The easiest way to say that Vega Europe is not as dynamic. it is an offensive control class of rubber where FX-P is a spinny mondern dynamic rubber with some slant towards control class. Top end and middle end of FX-P is significantly higher. Have a hit with both and you will know right away.
Thank you, P1ngP0ng3r and Der Echte. I found the Vega Europe on a deep sale and will take a flier based on your feedback, paired with a new Xiom Offensive S blade (also on sale). Should make for a great backup racket (or a gift for a newbie) for under $70.
