Palio Ak47 is a bit grippy but non tacky. It is around 15 bucks and many here like it, I'm using the red version which is the hardest.

AK47 and Ckylin Pro are the best non-tacky rubbers both around $11.Â

729 Aurora looks interesting, but havent tried it. Also Loki T3 is good.Â

729 Presto (spin, speed, max spin, max speed) as an alternative to the AK47/HK1997 rubbers (blue, yellow, red, yellowish) others already suggested. If you don't mind the extra $$$.

Btw. don't be afraid of tacky rubbers. It is not black magic.

That depends on definition of black magic. It requires a bit of dance and ritual moves...

Being serious. Moon Pro or rubbers alike do not require any change. They can be used from the getgo.

But those take place before you play ;-)

Yes. It's perfectly fine. It is just a bit unfortunate to be convinced that tacky rubbers require some "better" technique... But at the end it doesn't matter either. As langel says, OCP. Or we can say: OOP :)

How does the Presto play vs AK47 or Aurora (also 729)?

Similar. Presto Spin felt a bit gripier than AK47 Blue, the top-sheet a bit more quality (didn't detach on edges), durability approx. the same, maybe top-sheet on AK47 a bit softer, not so sure, it's been a while. Is the price diff justified, hard to say. I think both have good quality/price ratio. You have now tested many rubbers in this category, I think 729 Presto deserve to be collected too ;-)

Have you tried the Aurora? I always wondered why the Presto costs more than Aurora.

Hi,

You haven't mentioned anything about your game. So, here're some generic recommendations ..
  • Palio AK-47 Blue
  • Palio AK-47 Red (Pretty fast, 45° sponge)
  • Palio AK-47 Yellow
  • Yinhe Moon (Either Regular, or Moon Speed. Depending upon your game & liking)
  • Friendship Focus III Snipe
  • Kokutaku BLütenkirsche 868 Tokyo (Non-Tacky Version)

Sanwei T88 Ultra Spin are also non-tacky but have some chinese feeling (a bit hard, linear). Boosted with 2-3 layers of parafin oil they are almost like normal ESN rubbers but for about 6USD.
