Korean player Lim Jong Hoon who've beaten lin yun ju in wttc is also using Viscaria super ALC now. I've seen in a KTTL (korean table tennis league) which is held at the moment. He previously uses an innerforce blade I predict.

Why didnt FZD and other top players use the HL5 to match the power of Ma Long? I think HL5 even has better flex/feel than VIS in addition to greater speed.

ML started as a forehand dominant player like most people back in the 2000s. HL5 or W968 are designed for FH dominant style. BH is soft and requires fast and strong swing.

BH dominant is the mainstream style since the introduction of the ABS ball. Hence more people are using Vis type for better bh power.

Nonetheless, WCQ has switched to W968, he will be the few in this generation that still focus on mid distance two wing loop.

You'll have to ask themselves, but I'm sure it's a personal preference thing. There are other players in the CNT that uses W968, there are also a few I saw during the WTT Macau a few days ago using Lin Gaoyuan ALC, or at least the handle is.

Funny enough the fun base outnumbers the pros. Viscaria in an off- version won’t be a bad idea.
