I’d rather spend more time than others to improve my skill and play fair, than break the rules. I don’t mind other people doing it, and may help them in boosting and gluing, but I won’t use it.

Funny thing is that the manufacture is allowed to boost the rubbers and give it to a player before a tournament.

The rules is just silly, you can't have it one way and not the other. Either no boosting allowed, not, you can boost, but he can't.

If you want to talk about breaking rules, then everyone I know or watch TT on TV all break rules one way or another. (hint service rule).
At the end of the day, for pro players, a 1% tweak in equipment means a lot. It could be the density of the blade, or a tweak in the rubber's performance (tweaked by the manufacture). For us commoners, we can only tweak it ourselves.
