It's completely different the way they hit the ball and that's why I mostly watch only these kind of TT videos because I find them interesting and their technique and I've tried to adopt the same technique and it is very rewarding when I beat players that use fast springy rubbers and me using tacky H3 rubbers.

I rarely watch videos from european leagues, because the way they play is like as if they're trying to shoot an arrow by pulling a bow or something, whereas the chinese incorporate more martial-arts-like technique into TT and that's why imo it's more interesting to play than the european league which mostly rely on springy rubbers.

I also love watching those videos and try bringing some techniques of them in my game. What major differences did you notice to european players? For me they play much more "forward" but also somehow get crazy spin into the ball.

I'm no fan of the commie flag obviously that's in the video but for me it feels like the Chinese treat the ball as if the ball was the punching bag. And when you punch a bag in boxing you'd very quickly find out how important it is to include every single mechanic of each of your body part to put into that punching bag.

The technique that most players in Europe use is often too linear and clunky and therefore is not as interesting to watch in fact the moment I see the typical arm compact bent arm swing that's often associated when using ESN rubbers it just becomes so boring and cliched and insipid and uninspiring to watch I usually just turn off the video half-way through.

I would like a sourced and reasonable debate argument on exactly why communism is bad. Just to here the difference opinions, nothing aggressive. Maybe we could have a polite exchange of views. Always like to here what other people believe.

If you were to make an experiment of having 2 table tennis players to start training from the onset, both from the same age etc. and where one would train in a capitalist country, and the other one in a communist country then I'd say that the player on average trained in a communist country would probably be a better player, skillfully and physically. That's because communism has aspects of socialism which can be good and beneficial rather than capitalism which often makes people lazy (just look at the amount of obesity that is in capitalist countries).

The problem is that communism is a bad form of socialism which is derived from marxism, and karl marx as well as all his followers like lenin, stalin and so on had nothing else in their mind but engulfing the whole world with basically enslavement of the entire population. So ironically communism doesn't sound like socialism anymore (where socialism was meant to be beneficial to the average working joe and not the rich). That's why there were many anti-marixst movements in the 20th century but were never allowed to thrive by the rich powerful bankers from the west (which were also the very same ones that funded the bolshevik revolution which erupted communism in 1917).

Do you see a big mix in styles or is everyone a two winged looper. Are defenders still being developed and is that up to the individual to choose their style?
Amidst my friends, there is quite sime variation. We have mainly two winged loopers(attack) but some looping control players. We have one defensive(double inverted), two pimples out( one short pimple attack and one long pimple chopper), and at least one penhold all all rounder. This is just the professional team. One anti user, one mid pips user, and a massive swing side spin looper in the hobbiests. I am more a controlling looper and sometimes two wing attacker. Basically Samsonov but dumbed down by a factor of two billion.

Interesting thanks for answering - how many players in total are in the professional team you mention?

School, but here in China a lot of top players stay in school teams for a while. I think it’s because 1-9 grade education is mandatory no matter what. They are some of the best in the city though. We even had the luck to have Deng Yaping’s son with us last few years. He graduated last summer. He was a heck of a player, and took 5th in the national standard tournament in mens doubles with his partner(really nice guy). His mother came to our school a few times last year too.

Is it weird to see national level/provincial level athletes at your school?

Are they treated like celebrities or at least have some sort of recognition or fame from students?

I've seen the term hobbyist come up here and there when reading posts from chinese members of ttd... what do they mean by this? What would these hobbyist look like versus let's say the typical skill level in China?

I'd assume that the average skill level in China is leaps and bounds above what a club in the US would offer...

Normal school, or sport school?

Nah, they are normal students with normal lives. They do train 3 hours a day though. They can use their skills to get a “scholarship” to a good high school or university.
Hobbyist usually means no professional training, only playing by your self with friends.

so how does TT training work for the TT kids?
what time do they finish school and when they start practice

They get out of school at 16:00 every school day, and train till 19:00. They train the entirety of Sundays. Summer and Winter vacations include a 18/24 full days training plan.
