Is Rakza 7 a good T05fx alternative?

I would say Rakza 7 soft can work a little bit. But you must adjust yourself...

With many replies R7Soft is the same hardness as T05FX
R7 is in the lines of T05

so if you want to stay with FX hardness, then R7soft is correct.

Were you using 2.1mm with your T05FX?

Hey Tony.

R7 Soft is actually 40 deg, whereas T05 FX is around 43 deg.

R7 soft is also much slower.

This is why I mentioned Rakza X Soft which is 42.5 deg.

Never heard of Rakza X soft before, interesting.
Thanks Thomas.

The short answer is yes.
There is no force or impulse that T05FX can generate that either Rakza 7 or Rakza 7 soft can't.
I like both . When I get Rakza 7 soft I get max thickness. When I get Rakza 7 I get either 1.8mm or 2mm.
They all can generate the same impulse and therefore the same trajectory.

I’ve been using both Tenergy 05 FX 1.7 and Rakza 7 soft max. Even though thicker rubbers has better grip than thin ones I find Tenergy 05 FX to have significantly spin abilities. Speed and throw are similar (but it was on different blades).

Hi Thomas

Haven't really been a fan of X Soft, not enough spin and not enough speed over the Rakza family.
Spin wise I would go 7 Soft between X soft and 7 Soft
Speed wise, I would go T05FX

Control was a factor too, I would go 7 soft over X Soft
IMO, the trajectory of 7 soft over X soft is also more suitable for players that need more control

However having said that, I don't like any of these FX or soft rubbers, it is too weak for offensive play.
Normally will recommend 9 or X on FH and 7 on BH if players want to go Yasaka.

HI, i'm going to get some rubbers soon and debating whether to change to Rakza 7 as a Backhand alternative to T05fx on the Boll Spirit.

Just looking for something similar with a tad more control.

To5fx does feel great on the TBS - it pairs really well i think. An different alternative if control is important and keeping with Butterfly would be Roundell. I think its an under appreciated rubber. its not quick but plenty of control and decent spin. If your finding T05fx a little quick to use it could be an option.
