5-10 year old unopened Tenergy?

An old guy that I play with sometimes is a bit of a rubber horder. He must have collected 100 rubbers over the past decade and left most of them unopened.

He gave me a unopened Tenergy 64 today, because he's probably never really gonna get around to using it. I'm guessing the rubber has been sitting there for 5 or 10 years.

Assuming the rubber decays a little bit from age, how close do you think the rubber will be to the original new state?

I don't think it's great to leave them unopened that long but a lot also depends on the storage conditions. It they had been stored dark and at constant temperature they might be ok but if they were exposed to sunlight and changing temperatures for extended periods they might be very bad.

Less impact if the package is sealed.

Well the package is completely unopened, but its not sealed by Butterfly. There are tiny holes in the package plastic.

Then fresh air is (somewhat) circulated this will speed up the oxidation. There must be a reason why the packages are not completely sealed, maybe due to air pressure differences.
