I also enjoy watching some Japanese TT analysis. They have a chart they show before a match that rates the 2 players' strengths such as attack, defense, experience, serve, etc.
Sometimes the Japanese analysts even invoke the Chinese commentary. I remember one time in a doubles match with Ishikawa and Hirano, the Japanese analysts felt that Ishikawa was playing slightly better than Hirano. But they distinctly noted that the Chinese analysts were calling the match at the same time and were commenting that it was painfully obvious that Ishikawa was the weak link.
