If Wang Liqin is using a Clipper I approve of his choice of blades. He was playing really well. His forehand looked better than it has in a while and his backhand has improved a lot.

Props to Xu Xin. He went through the two top players beating Zhang Jike 4-2 in the semi-finals and beating Ma Long 4-2 in the finals.

He was dominant.

Who knows, by the time the Olympics start, Wang Liqin and Xu Xin might be playing the best table tennis on the Chinese National Team. :)

Well played Xu Xin. Yeah, he beat the world no 1 and no 2 to emerge as champion. It was no mean feat. I am happy for him as I voted for him to win it.

I am impressed with WLQ too. He played very well after a very long time. Semi final berth was a great achievement considering he is only the sparring partner for the top 4.

Xu Xin needs to start gaining some weight or he won't fit in with the rest of the Chinese penholders...seriously Wang Hao, sort it out before the Olympics. I don't want to cheer you on only for you to lose to a chocolate cake...or several chocolate cakes...cakes are tasty.

At the moment, Ma Long(2975), Jike(2923), Wang Hao(2805), Xu Xin(2751). But I think these do not include the points from China Open and Korean Open. The Japan Open will be on the 6th of June, and I think there will be movement in the top 4.

Xu Xin winning the China Open will gain 72 bonus points. Ma Long 64 bonus points. Jike losing the semis will get 48 bonus points. Wang Hao will get 40 points.

Jike winning the Korean Open gets 72 points. Xu Xin 64 points. Wang Hao 48 points. Ma Long 24 points losing in the last 16.

Ma Long 2975+64+24 = 3063
Jike 2923+48+72 = 3043
Wang Hao 2805+40+48 = 2893
Xu Xin 2751+72+64 = 2887

But these points do not include "EXPECTED" RESULTS (Higher Rated player wins) and "UNEXPECTED" RESULTS (Upsets – lower Rated player wins) points, which may be up to 9 points "Expected Results" after each round, and players whos ranking is higher and lost to lower ranking points may lose up to 40 points.

That's nice info :D So Ma Long losing to Lee Sang Su could be costly... I hope Zhang Jike will be #1 xD

I found some funny stuff. When ZJK play XX, he topspin or push the ball to XX wide forehand when XX in the BH side, and win at least 5 points from this. Then, Xu Xin used this way to win a few points off Ma Long.

But what I can say is that Xu Xin long arm and his fantastic leg give ZJK and Ma Long trouble if they plan to go play mid-far table rally with Xu Xin.

Standing toe to toe with Xu Xin from mid table to far is very tough. The guy moves so well and that hooked FH has so much curve. Just when you think you can counter it, you realize that you have to take another 2-3 steps further to the side!:) By the time, it's too late!
