We had to show you this shot from the recent Chinese Olympic Team Warm Up Match for the London 2012 Olympics between Ma Long and Yan An!

Watch the video below. It shows the true athleticism of Ma Long and how quickly these players react!

Is that the one with no bounce?

Ma Long's shot bounces. Pierre Luc Hinse's shot just rolls.

But what is cool about this Ma Long shot is that, Ma Long decides to let the ball drop further so he has more time because he realizes he will have a better shot at the ball. He was going to throw himself at the ball when it was higher and he realizes he will be able to get there--barely--if he lets it fall lower, and he will have a better angle at a shot. It was actually a conscious choice. In Pierre Luc Hinse's shot, Peirre has no choice but to dive because the shot he is trying to receive was a net that jumped to the right and barely caught the table. Both good shots. A little different. Pierre Luc's is more dramatic.

@Sir Carl
And both only won one point..
Dam I love this sport :)

Yes. You are right. And both, only one point. :)

For the drama, Hinse's, for the obvious skill and calculation, Long. :) I love both differently. Yan An is so baffled by Ma Long's shot that he just catches the ball. :) Gotta love it.
