Timo Boll and his fellow German National side including Patrick Franziska, Bastian Steger, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Christian Suss have took part in a film/documentary called "Die Chinesen Europas", which in translation we believe means 'The Chinese of Europe'. The film directed by Milan Skrobanek displays Boll and his team mates training, team meetings, interviews, press conferences, hard training's, massages, tactics, and all back stage footage during the 2012 World Team Championships. You can watch the trailer below.

Commentator: Welcome to the World Team Table Tennis Championship in Germany. The gymnasium is sold out. We are playing against China. Is there a better situation for the win?
Boll: Every ball which isn't played perfect is a kind of present for them and this is the difference between the chinese and for example the japanese. The hardness of their hits is unreached.
Roßkopf: If Boll wins the first match against Zhang , it's gonna be difficult for them. Bollinger can win against Zhang.
He has to hit with backhand and if he hits well it's very hard to win against him. All of them are playing him in the backhand with a slice, flip or block. But if he hits at the beginning they are a bit shocked.
Now comes the clip where timo win's the point by a backhand hit.
Hopefully it is understandable :D

Actually the DVD can be purchased in Europe via amazon! The full movie can be watched with english or french subtitles!

I was actually expecting more in the trailer.
I thought it was more epic like how they make movies look epic.
Something like the black and white slow motion O_O

Because it is not about a real movie or a "blockbuster"
It is made by a group of film students and is more like a Documentary about the German TT Team at the WTTTC 2012 in Dortmund, Germany :)

From Aamazon.de:

After "Germany, a summer fairy tale" for football and "Project Gold" for handball now the sport of table tennis has a film about the World Cup on home soil. More than three months after the German team was accompanied by Jörg Rosskopf and Timo Boll before and during the World Championships 2012 in Dortmund from up to four cameras. The result is the nearly 90 minute documentary "The Chinese of Europe", which shows all that remains of the usual television cameras are not: previously unseen images of hard training , intimate interviews with the stars, Press, massages, team meetings and the World Day of breakfast to the tactic meeting shortly before the match. Coupled with action-packed and exciting montages of all World Cup matches, which brings us the big event in the sold Dortmund Westfalenhalle closer, puts "The Chinese of Europe" set new standards in the sports documentary. "The Chinese of Europe" is the first feature film by director Milan Skrobanek, who at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg by his professors Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire, Pina) and Pepe Danquart was (Hell on Wheels, Am Limit) care.On the DVD, they expect a bonus in addition to the main film material and an audio commentary with director Milan Skrobanek and coach Joerg Rosskopf. The film is subtitled in English and French.
