Number 2 and 10 are definitely rallies and for me the best rally has to be number 10 and not because of Timo but because of his opponent who really made the rally happen. It was stupendous .
To pick the best shot, personally its a neck-to-neck between 1 and numbers 4,5,6 and 7. Even though we know the amount of spin Obtcharov has in his serve, Ma Long's around the net really looks like something he would have done a thousand times in practice. For me the best shot has to be something that is a moment of inspiration.
#6 falls short because the speed of the game is slower compared to others or may be its video or my perception :) ( I don't want to spark a debate )
#7 is really awesome but the opponent kind of ruined it by keeping on hitting to him with the same power to make all those shots really possible . Who on earth won't try to change the direction of the rally , really !!

So we are left with numbers 1 , 4 and 5. Now #1 has to be great touch from the greatest of all time !! But he has done such and so many more during his reign in table tennis , we will just ask him to kindly retire from this competition and let others win :) .

Between 4 and 5 , my heart says wetherill but my brain says Kenta . Wetherill was really awesome. It reminded me of Boris Becker diving at the nets in Wimbledon.
I also remember , later in an interview when Becker was asked on why he made those dives , he said it kind of sends a message to your opponent that you are going to do whatever it takes.
I am sure that Wetherill was able to send that message across lound and clear to his competition.

However, I will go with #5 and really Kenta should share this with Koki Niwa. Not just because of this shot, because of the numerous moments of inspiration in that particular match. It was almost like watching artists playing against blacksmiths ( not that I have anything against blacksmiths ) . But like my coach said Zhou Yu looked completely out of place in that match with his manly grunts, it was pure artistry.
So here you go , for me the winner is and has to be # 5 , for the consistent amount of incredible spunk displayed :D :D

I really think, this SHOT contest is spoiled by including 2 really awesome rallyes and trying to convince us that it is still a shot contest :)
And I still dont understand why you so much go for the paralympic shot, I bet that the guy does that quite regularly because of his condition.
I dont know, I am just not that much amazed by that.. sorry..

Well I'm not sure I will do that if I am having the same condition as him..
I am not sure if David is trained to do that kind of shot either..

This time you have no idea, Sir Michal..
This time the shot is done in the level of Olympics (Paralympic), which is the highest level of sport in the world..

Doing the Waldner's no-look shot is not that uncommon, but doing that in the Olympics (in this case the Athens 2004) is different..
