Borussia Dusseldorf vs. Caen..
March 10th 2001
First match of the meeting, where Borussia Dusseldorf played without their no. 1 player. So they put young Bastian Steger instead!
What a play!
At that time, Persson, living playing legend of the game, top 20 player.. against unknown kid outside of the top 100..
Nice match!

Anyways I forgot this was already a match no. 2, because in the first one Trinko Keen lost to Damien Eloi, but I cant find that match anywhere in my records..
Anyways, after first 2 matches Borussia was 0:2 down. Now all was up to young Michael Maze to save the day!
So, did he?
Martin Bratanov more than equal oponent at that time!
Very exciting and close match!

Sooo, I got another pretty amazing match!
Schlager in TOP 5 in the world at that time, Chuang playing match of his life!
Brutal match, exciting with many many great rallies!

From the champions league, where Ochsenhausen met SVS Niederosterreich, this was match of the season for me!

French team Levallois, who are at the bottom of the table (5th), meeting leading team of the group, SVS Niederösterreich.
In the first match Christophe Legout takes on Konstadin Lengerov.
This match was not going to decide anything, so overall it was in a very friendly atmosphere, and the home team wanted to show they still got it! You wouldnt believe into what kind of an exhibition it turned to.. but that later.. first the first match:

Christophe Legout vs. Konstadin Lengerov:

Do you know Karl Jindrak?
I think he is boss of some table tennis organisation, have you heared of him? :D :D

Anyways - I got him on tape!

After Legout destroyed Lengerov, Werner Schlager leveled up at 1:1 after he beat Chila.
Then Jean Philipe Gatien entered the court against host Karl Jindrak.
During this match, where everyone knew who would win, the atmosphere was relaxed with smiles and funny moments!

My christmas gift for you guys is this amazing, funny and great match that took my breath away at that time!

It was 2:1 for Levallois when Legout entered the court to face Schlager. Schlager very relaxed and Legout in just amazing form!
Schlager tryed what he could, but when he saw there is no way to win, he just made him enjoy the game!
And so everyone else!
What a great match with so many great exhibitional rallies!!!

Just a must see match that you will love!
Just wait for that side spin chop smash from Schlager to save the point!

Lets go to the Champions league final!
I dont know if I have first leg, I will have to look, but I know first leg of the final between Charleroi and SVS Niederosterreich won Samsonov´s Charleroi 3:0.
So in the second leg they needed to win just one match.
First match was Qian Qianli against Zoran Primorac:

After Primorac beat Qianli, Charleroi already knew they won the match, because they needed just one win.
So now, completely relaxed Samsonov against very motivated Schlager.. this had to end up in an exhibition stuff!
And it did!

So after Maze saved Borussia from loss, it was Trinko Keen vs. Jorgen Persson!
At that time, Persson a living legend, Trinko a topspin machine..
So who won?

Keen really destroyed Persson and then the deciding game took place..
Young Bastian Steger against experienced and .. honestly .. creepy .. Damien Eloi :)

Eloi still plays some great table tennis in 2nd German league.
