Well, watching Shiono play I must say I definitelly know who is his IDOL

Anyone else knows?

He played EXACTLY like retired japan player - Koji Matsushita, who had his higlights in years 1999-2001, I have some matches recorded..
So this Shiono plays exactly like him. Catching insane smashes, topspins, tritling the racked in hands, using long pimples on forehand and backhand, attacking when drop shot comes high..
Very beautiful defending style, I am very happy that Shiono is suddenly around and I hope he will beat some chinese!
I would love to see Wang Hao struggle against defense and I hope Shiono can do this

Agreed. I watched Shiono play in the quarter-finals at US Open and he has a very nice style - he must have been very impressive in Japan!

Nice info Michal_Z, I'v just seen Koji Matsushita on Youtube. It's interesting to see him played. Until now I only know there were 3 player who play defensive style: Joo Se hyuk, Koji Matsushita amd Shiono. I think masato Shiono needs some more years to be mature in defensive style. Go go Masato Shiono
