Joo Sae-Hyuk Shot
So I was watching some old re-runs of table tennis games on youtube. And I noticed this one game where Joo Sae-Hyuk uses a truly great shot that seems impossible. The game is this one and the shot is at the end of the rally that begins at 5:24. I can barley get the ball to go around the net and land on the other side of the table, so how does he do this?

with that shot the ball after hitting the net was mostly around that area so there isnt much to it. you jsut have to be there in time. now if it was around joos end of the table that would be a different story

You need to have quick instincts and be fast, and to be a chopper, and of course Joo is a great one, you need both those qualities.

It is a question of timing.
The angle was good, so not too difficult like playing a bow around the net. Then you need the right height and - in this case - lift the ball a little bit up.
Playing around the net is not easy, but all in all a question of pratise. If you get used to the angle, you can do it, too. It just needs some time to adjust to it

Joo Se Hyuk is one player who can be equally offensive as defensive he is.
