Question is how thick is your application of the oil per coat? Give it more 2 days then just just put a pile of books on it after gluing.

Sometimes, i give it until the 5th day before gluing it.

Three thin layers of coat... the dome was still there after like 4 days so I left some books on top of the rubber to flatten it out. Even after having some books on the rubber, it was still a bit curled after another 2 days. I just gave up and glued it on. Maybe two layers would be enough next time.

Is there any reason why you are messing with the font colors? I think it is causing you not to realize that both lines of text can be seen by some even though they are in different colors.
