I love kreanga's backhand so much! Definitely the killer's killing shot :)
When im playing for fun w/ my friends, i will scream "KREANGAAA!!" when unleashing a full-blooded-kreanga-style backhand loop :D

It doesn't mean the other killer shots aren't as effective though.. It depends mostly on the circumstances..
This is the other kill shots that i want to vote but sadly i can only vote for one :
1. Schlager's service --> Personally i love his service the most, but its not 100% kill shot. Mostly Schlager used it for 3rd ball attack setup.
2. Persson's swat --> Pure speed, pure awesomeness, cant really explain this unorthodox shot.
3. Waldner's drop shot --> Perfect touch at the perfect moment.

btw how about Waldner's bh block/punch? It is also legendary in its own right!

Surprised that Wang Liqin's forehand is not on the list)) I would rate that as the greatest kill shot of all time - he won everything going with it.

Following that, I would rate Kreanga's backhand as second - its immense, having seen it first hand and close up

true fair point :p i was looking for kind of standout kill shots thought like technically unique point winners. WLQ's forehand is just a standard loop, granted it's a brilliant one tho!

I always wonder when I look at your username what the plk stands for. First thing that comes to mind every time I see it is Plo Koon :p haha

I don't know.. Can't really pick from those, neither can I think of some shot from someone that stands out above other shots. Of course I like Maze's sidespin BH :) But it's not much of a killer shot and he doesn't do it that often.

I think there is something missing!
Yes, Kreangas backhand is the right choice! But he is not playing much lately so I have to pick another one, but its not in options..
and it is:

Ma Long´s forehand flick kill

Because you just see he is going to push the ball and suddenly smash!
That is something! That is really greatest killshot in todays table tennis ;)
How many points he got with that? :)

Ma lin's counterloop???
It's definately Ma Lin's forehand loopkill from the backhand corner after a backspin push by his opponent.

Ma Long's forehand loop/3rd ball attack and Zhang Jike's backhand banana loop/3rd ball attack or attack of serve especially when he is deep on the forehand side: his opponent never seems to be able to gauge where he is going. Either shot usually simply ends the point.

Good point Carl.

I'd give it one or 2 years and I think Adrien Mattenet will have a dangerious backhand against the top guys. I think this weapon will get him very far!
