I've tested the Palio balls as well and I agree with their review. I just think they underestimated the higher bounce a bit. The ball jumps up significantly higher after a topspin shot. It surprised me many times.

The Palio ball is unplayable. They are superseded by the DHS balls with a seam. They would be really interesting to have a look at.
If the new balls will be like Palio, I think I will quit playing. It's that bad.

When the 40mm balls came in, I immediately noticed the increase in "net balls". That is balls hitting the net and going over. I assume that it has something to do with the increased size of the ball vs the size of the net. When I tried the Palio balls, the frequency increased even more. So one skill to learn is how to react to net balls as there will be more of them.
Another great new feature of the sport brought to us by the ITTF.

Palio ballz suck rocks. I hear tell there are better plastic ballz, but I gotta see them before I believe them...
