Teessport UK rip off… amicus robot

Hi People.

I am interested in purchasing the Amicus Professional robot, however, at Teessport it is £1499.00 and on the German site it is €1,499.00

Now according to XE.com the exchange rate from Euro to GBP this should be £1,235.00. I do not like being ripped off.

What do you think? Is this a rip off?

are they TAX/VAT/GST included in your pricing?

Both eu countries, one price in Euro, one in pounds, both including all VAT etc.

Well, besides profits, other 2 main part of the cost is Tax and/or Duties, as well as freight.
Butterfly Europe is based in Germany, so that means the German guys will have it at true cost, while other countries will need to add freight and possible tax or duties.

That is the only reason why I can see with a difference in price.

So what you should compare is, how much is it going to cost you to get the robot (with all the extras added on) from Germany, vs Teesport.

(I was a Butterfly Disti before, so I know this)

When looking at other countries throughout europe the price is similar to the German price, only in the UK are we ripped off.

I have sent an e-mail to them in Germany to see if they will ship one direct to me, I'm not holding my breath…

I see.
If you are not familar with import, you can always ask a courier company for a quote, and ask them about duties and Taxes (even if you are not going to use them). By doing so, you can have an idea if you need to pay tax or duties in the UK.

Hope you can save some money like that, and the balance of it, you can buy new rubbers
