Hi everyone,

it is time to open a new discussion on which rubber can compete with tenergy? Because, let's be honest, it is way too expensive. I hope everyone in the future will change to other rubbers. I don't like to change when something is good, but I don't have too much money, like most students.

I heard that Tibhar Evolution is closest to tenergy (or even better). I like Tenergy 05, because it's hard so you can create a lot of spin. Evolution MX-P is the best for this, I heard, what do you think? To be honest, I like to boost my rubbers, 3 layers for my forehand and 2 for my backhand. Can I do the same with that rubbers? I was thinking to boost my rubbers less on my backhandside because blocking was rather difficult with a new rubber. Give me your opinion!

So, you use boosters.. Then it's getting way more easy to find a good alternative for Tenergy! :D

Donic Bluefire JP01 works great with a few layers of boost, and without boost too!
Yasaka Rakza 7 can also be boosted into something near Tenergy, as goes for the Calibra LT Spin and Cornilleau Target Force

Personally I quit boosting and swapped to a fast hardwood blade, pared with medium hard/medium soft rubbers with good speed and spin features it gives me almost the same feel as with boosters. But ofc, nothing is like playing with boosters. But again, you can't use boosters or speed glue anymore for competitions if you want to play fair. So players just have to adapt and practise. Nothing is impossible! ;)

Why would you open new discussion when there is already a big discussion about this? There are so much good alternatives for Tenergy now, I just changed my tenergy setup with the adidas tenzone ones, it' so great! Even better than tenergy for me. I also use some boosting, on new rubbers I put only 2 thin layers and waite for dome to stop.

Agree that there is more than plenty/enough of threads about Tenergy alternatives.
And it isn't wise to keep opening threads about it.
End up talking about the same things, but just in different threads.

Basically any ESN / Tensor rubbers can do the job - and almost every brand has a Tenergy like rubber.
