I don't know most of the people on this list. Why don't many people play these?

I am just wondering, aren't serves of both players ilegal?
Robinot barely throws the ball up, and Chen throws the ball towards himself. And aditionally they are both very late with the hand removal before the contact?

Today all young players are trying to hide their serves different ways, but if umpire is strict he can warn them to throw the ball straight or to remove their left hand earlier. But they just don't care here.

I am really sorry that in Croatia there is no interest for table tennis. I've heard that there were only few spectators, and they even called our coach and invited us to come on ifnals day, but no one was interested because our best players didn't play in this event.. Very sad

Btw, Richardo had my vote!! Congratulations to him.

I agree, the sadest part was the fact that the entry was completely free. The final was reasonably visited (let's say 200 spectators) but only because there were some games and prizes afterwards, and everyone in the hall was somehow connected with tabel tennis. On the other days it was piece and quiet, and there were more Japanese and French people in the hall, then Croatians.
I don't know the reason why top seeded Croatian players like Gacina, Tan Ruiwu, Tosic and Kolarek canceled in last minute. I've heard different stories, from the fact that they have club obligations (namely, Kolarek in Poland), to the fact that they are keeping their WR (especially Gacina who would drop a few spots in case of not winning the tournament), and there were also rumours they refused to play since national federation refused to sponsor their participation. I repeat, these are only rumours, but if even half of them were true it would make me real sad and it's really a shame that Croatia's best players refuse to participate in promotion of the sport in their country.
