i can't help but think how much better this "drill your skills" series could be... the demonstration by yan an is perfect, but the tips leave much to wish for. why not mention the left foot mini-step that occurs right before you step in with your right foot? what about the placement of the push? the importance of placing it either very short or very deep? the timing of the push? yan an clearly does NOT make contact at the top of the bounce, he takes the ball early and goes for a short push here. what is this talk about the bat angle on the backhand loop? it depends on the ball that your opponent gives you and the kind of loop that you want to produce...
