What handle shape?

My favourite handle shape is straight. Straight is what all the pros use. I was wondering, why is straight what they all use and why do most other people like flared handles?

I just think that most players feel that the straight handle shape is the most comfortable. I don't think any shape are better than another when it comes to technique.

as for pros using straight,i think that some change their grip for fh and bh,and its easier to do so with a straight.

I use flared because that's what I've always had. No other reason really, I'm sure if I had to play with straight or anatomic I'd soon stop noticing any difference.

I prefer Straight Handle. No particular reason. Or maybe as a child, I used to have one of the cheap premade bat with a straight handle. Somehow that still holds a special place.

Most European use ST and CNT use FL so may be the choice of handle is related to their different strokes.

Depends on the thickness of the handle. I like straight, if it's like one in the TB series, Viscaria flared, and conic handles. As long as the handle feels full,secured, and comfortable in my hands, I'm fine with the handle shape.

Prefer ST. Easier for twiddle (180 deg) or half twiddle (90 deg), or slide along grip, or “loosing” the grip to absorb smash.

And ST blade less prone from being borrowed here.

I can only use straight handles if its a fat handle, I've been using flared for the last 3 years and I just stuck to it as it felt comfortable. I team mate had the exact blade as me, but in anatomic, I tried it and wow what a difference it makes! It actually felt like the handle was shorter than the flared. No offense to the people who use anatomic handles, but I have no idea how you are able to hold one of those!

BTW, i think that comfort of flared handle depends on manufacturer and model of the blade.
I've been using blades of Butterfly, Donic, Tibhar & Yasaka.
A most comfortable flared handle was on blades of Donic (tried 3 models).
