What makes the new textreme carbon technology different from previous STIGA blades? And what makes this technology different from other brands.

This is the first time we are really focussed in developing a STIGA carbon blade. We have spent 3 years developing this carbon Textreme blade technology. It has not been easy, but finally we have succeeded. The key for the success is that it is a very light and extremely hard blade. We feel this is revolutionary for table tennis.

This year will add the first series of carbon blade.

It is easy to develop a fast blade, however to make a carbon blade that is balanced between speed and control is what we have worked on and produced. The technology has been made in Sweden,

NOTE: This Friday at 11am GMT STIGA will release a product movie of the two new carbon blades.

Have STIGA developed these blades with the Chinese National Team?

We have been working with this carbon technology with the Chinese National Team this is why we believe it is a unique blade ready for the new plastic ball.

STIGA Sweden and STIGA China are working very closely along side one another. Liu Guoliang is head of development on the China side. The China team think STIGA carbon blades will be very interesting in the future for the sport.

STIGA have signed an exclusive agreement for table tennis with textreme, we think this will revolutionise carbon blades for the future.

Fan Zhendong has already acknowledge that he loves the 145 and 190 blades already

Has this new technology got anything to do with the new plastic ball?

We have been aware for some time now that the plastic ball was going to come in one day. This is how we have developed the carbon technology. If we made it in a hurry, we could have developed it. However we spent 2 years with the china team to make the blade perfect and this is the new weapon that we have come up with.

Will the STIGA Chinese National Team members use these Textreme Carbon Blades?

Yes we believe a big percentage of the china team players will use the blades as they asking for the blades. There is a big demand from the team to test them out. For the world, this blade is new to the market, however the china team have been trialling the blade for the last year and know its benefits. Now the blade is fully ready for January 2015.

STIGA has the exclusive rights to the Textreme technology, patented tech. Never ending, life time agreement.

A lot of members on TableTennisDaily fear price increase in table tennis equipment. Obviously this new technology will be great for the game, but how will that effect the price of the new blades.

Plan is to produce world's best carbon blade, we are only focussing on quality. We want the best blade to be produced from the Textreme carbon technology. Quality is number 1 for STIGA.

Stay tuned for TableTennisDaily's review of the Textreme Carbon Blades with Xu Xin and Fan Zhendong later this week!
