Hey guys, new 1 set showdown with the current world number 1 Timo Boll! in this video Timo Boll takes on his table tennis idol! Me! Or is it the other way around?

During our recent review of the Boll ALC blade with World Number 1 Timo Boll we challenged Timo to a #1SetShowdown. Users had to guess what the score was in a 1 set match up between Dan and Timo to win a Butterfly Boll ALC blade signed by Timo!

This one set showdown was probably my most nerve wracking yet! Timo is just so good! Thanks to everyone that entered the signed blade competition. We had a record number of entries and the winner is announced at the bottom of the topic. Enjoy!

Thanks to all 3779 entries across TableTennisDaily's website and youtube, Facebook and Instagram channel who entered the competition on what they thought the score would be between Timo and Dan.

381 users guessed the correct score. All 381 users were put into an excel spreadsheet with a number assigned to them. Using the google random number generator the number 24 was produced.

Good show, Dan, but if you'd thrown in a few backhand serves to prepare Timo for Ma Long, then obviously different result at the German Open. Don't feel too guilty, you can't anticipate everything.

I think Timo probably has the best forehand push in all of table tennis. Great video and thanks for making it. I learned a lot from it.

Well, thank you very much to Table Tennis Daily and of course also to the Great Timo Boll, I am a great admirer, as well as other great players of this beautiful sport. I said this on another forum and the response I got, you would have thought Timo's forehand push was a piece of trash.

It definitely looks unusual because of his grip so I can understand why they think that way but he has great control, especially on the short push. You kind of have to see it live to really appreciate it. I think the high quality close-up footage from Dan's video shows this way better than the ITTF cameras.

Haha Andy that's brilliant! I should have definitely helped Timo prepare for that match. Ma Long is back on winning ways it seems, I feel sorry for the rest of the world right now

Thanks Tropical, I have a few more 1 set showdowns lined up to release which should be good! Timo was not messing around one bit with me! I think if I didn't make those two shots, it would have been 11-0 no problem! Even during the review, I felt like I won 1 point for every 30!

Oh that's for sure haha! He wasn't happy, he actually reviewed the game after and said to me he was to passive when I won the two points!

David, congrats! I have to say you were up against a lot of other entries, I wonder what the odds are in you winning when you take everything into account! I have your PM/address ill post the signed blade to you this weekend

His forehand push is so deceptive and aggressive, never seen anything like it!

Hello colleagues of this wonderful sport, 2 weeks ago I was able to receive my long-awaited award, the wait was long but it was worth it! It is a beautiful blade! I'm still not sure whether to use it or put it in a frame next to the photo of the great Timo, I would like to know what the people in the forum think, would they use it or not?

Well friends, I send a great greeting and keep training. Thanks a lot to Dan, to tabletennisdaily and of course to the living leyend Timo Boll, this award makes me keep loving this sport more and more, I am just going to meet 1 year of training and I love it, I hope it can get very high.
